Journal Prompt:

  1. How do you react when stressed, angry, or in a confrontation?

  2. Do you feel this is a healthy reaction?

  3. Are your needs, wants, and feelings being expressed in a positive way?

  4. Do you validate the other person’s needs, wants, and feelings?

  5. Are you able to calmly express your emotions and suggest a resolution when in conflict?

  6. Based on the relationship spectrum chart, do you have unhealthy or abusive relationships? 

  7. Do you have healthy relationships?

  8. What makes your relationships healthy? What makes them unhealthy/abusive?

  9. Do you feel comfortable talking to the person in your unhealthy/abusive relationships and asking for compromise in making it healthy?

  10. Create a plan for how to express your feelings and discuss a healthier situation in your unhealthy/abusive relationships. Think about what you will do if the other person does not want the same goal you do for the relationship.
